Research on digital authenticity and application to Stanford University
About the Program and AcademX Support
Katya is completing the AcademX research program under the guidance of experts in digital media economics and behavioral sciences. We helped her shape the topic, build a theoretical foundation, define the research design, and structure a future scientific paper — a key step toward applying to Stanford.
Research Topic
The economics of authenticity: how bloggers’ digital authenticity affects audience behavior and brand value.
Essence of the Work
Katya studies how perceived sincerity and transparency of bloggers influence audience trust, consumer behavior, and advertising effectiveness in digital media. She focuses on how “authenticity” becomes an economic factor — affecting ad pricing, conversion, and long-term subscriber loyalty.
The project explores shifts in digital culture where sincerity becomes a new “currency of trust,” and its economics is an important field for brand and marketing analytics.
Research Status
The work is in progress but already has a clear research framework and a strong academic foundation — an important part of preparing an application to Stanford University’s master’s program.
Student Goal
Admission to Stanford University, Economics.
Katya is an example of how modern interdisciplinary topics can combine economics, digital media, and behavioral sciences to build a strong research profile for top universities.
